Welcome
This is my family tree site. The grave photographs have all been added and the tree updated. Like any family tree, this is a work in progress and I am always keen on receiving new information on family members.

Privacy is important to me, and because of that I hide the dates of birth for people who are still living (or are under 95 years old). Once a person has passed away (and I have a death date) their dates are shown, but not that of their spouse if they are still living.

Request for information: I am after a copy of the inquest dealing with the deaths of Louisa Eveline Isabel ELLIS (nee FIELD) and her sister Edith Helen MYERS (nee FIELD). They drowned at Fairy Dell Pool, Mt Victoria, NSW on 14th of January 1917. Any help would be appreciated, as this has always intrigued me as to how 2 grown women would drown at the Fairy Dell Pool. Please use the feedback form if you can provide further assistance.
I have a few newspaper articles, but no copy of the inquest as yet.

Note: The website has moved hosts, so there are still some problems, including missing images. This will be rectified as soon as possible.

Usage Agreement

Welcome to the Rawsthorne family tree. To view the family tree information and graves you must agree to ALL of the following conditions.

  1. Any information gained from the "Rawsthorne family tree" and associated pages, is for your personal family tree research only.
  2. You may not copy, sell or distribute the information contained within this website. Information sourced through other means may be verified from this site with no restriction on use.
  3. You may not use the information contained in this website to cause other people any harm, embarrassment, humiliation, in either public or private. The data may not be used to the detriment of anyone who's details are or are not contained within the pages.
  4. None of the information may be used in any sort of illegal activity, such as, but not limited to, identity theft or obtaining false documentation.
  5. The site data is privatised, and any requests to have further information removed will be considered. Much of the information contained within is also located in books, family trees both online and available to researchers via various sites. Total removal of sections of the tree will more than likely not occur. Just because some of the data is the same as your research does not mean you are the ONLY researcher of a particular line of the family (in fact some of the more unusual surnames of the family are the most researched of all).
  6. This is a huge project, and errors will occur within the data. Any errors are not intentional, and will be corrected whenever possible, once the correct information becomes available to me.
  7. All photographs on this website are Copyright David Rawsthorne unless otherwise stated. Images are not to be used unless written permission is gained from the owner.
  8. The data within the pages are privatised, so people born after 1918, or married after 1945, and have not passed away, will not have dates shown at all. Once a person passes away, no matter when their birth, they will have complete dates listed.

Should you have a problem adhering to any of the above conditions, you must leave the site, and not return.

The biggest thing is the addition of the Field Family Newsletter. The Field Family Newsletter was produced 4 times a year from December 1999 through to February 2010. It was excellently edited by Dorothy Cefarin, and contained historical images, stories, as well as information on the births and deaths of family members. Due to ill health, Dorothy is no longer able to continue to produce the newsletter, but has kindly permitted me to include copies for people to see on my website. Only some of the 41 newsletters are currently online, but I hope to add 5 to 10 a week until they are all available.
